Hope for the Journey CD
Pati Rader
A gentle collection of familiar Hymns and scripture readings to encourage
and provide hope along life’s journey.

Hope for the Journey
A ‘few’ years back Ken encouraged me to record my voice singing and reading scriptures, similar to what I had done for my Dad before his passing years before. At the time I had just recovered from a few years of affliction and was not sure of how I could pull off a recording. But God had other plans no doubt and the result was “Hope for the Journey”. Thank you again Ken for encouraging me!
The original intention of the CD was to provide comfort and assurance through music and words to shut-ins and those facing the end of their earthly journey. We wanted to bring the message of hope in a simplistic and easy to listen format that would sound as if we were right there with the listener. What we discovered was that in addition to shut-ins, able bodied travelers on their own journeys found encouragement listening to the CD. And so we have continued to make it available beyond what we had intended, but clearly what God had planned.

“Elizabeth’s Unusual Day”
Book by Pati Rader and Grandaughters
After sharing a story with my Granddaughters this past summer, they asked me to put it into a book. The girls added the illustrations you will see on the inside pages, with the cover illustration from a collection passed down to me dated 1904. This new experience is part of my new chapter that I am so thankful for.
The book is intended for easy reading for anyone of any age. You can experience this day and the memories Elizabeth recalls. She had a most unusual day with choices, fears, mistakes, and bravery!
This is an interactive book as the reader is encouraged to discover when the story takes place in history, color in the many illustrations, and consider what may happen next.
“Elizabeth’s Unusual Day” is available in paperback and Kindle on:
Podcasts
I have been both humbled and blessed to share part of my story on these recent podcasts. Thank you for taking a listen. I hope you will be encouraged.
They have many other interesting and thought provoking interviews you may be interested in listening to as well.
