Being there till the world stops spinning.
Being there till the heart stops hurting.
Being there when the sky is dark.
Being there when far apart.
Being there to listen and hear,
providing space for the flow of tears.
Being there for a stranger or friend.
Being there from beginning to end.
Being there for a heart that’s bare.
Being there to truly care.
Being there can’t replace what is missing,
Being there is waiting and listening.
Being there without a plan,
just taking time to hold a hand.
Being there to understand.
Being there to help one stand.
Being there can help one unwind
from difficult moments felt at the time.
Being there doesn’t take away pain,
but eases the burden in a special way.
Being there is more than a phrase.
It could be a friend or a familiar face
Being there may be one who is safe
or a stranger in just the right place.
Being there can be in the form of a friend,
a stranger or someone who understands
the need to be valued and heard
to pause and listen to all that is shared.
Being there, it could be you
as you pause to listen and to choose
to be there for another
as a sister or brother.
Being there is available daily
and for all of eternity.
From one who never grows tired of all that we say
He is always a prayer away

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 (NIV)
~~~
My heart and life have been blessed, encouraged, and comforted through so many in my life who have graciously made a choice of ‘Being There’. I am grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for always being there for me and for the many others he has placed on my path. My prayer and ask it to be one who is ‘Being There’ for others through their life moments in some way.
May God encourage and bless you for Being There for others and as others are Being There for you.
